Gourav Rakshit is the Business Head of Shaadi.com. Gourav has 13 years of experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies for consumer-oriented businesses, both as a consultant and a marketing practitioner.
Prior to joining People Group, Gourav worked with Infosys Consulting, in the Next Generation Commerce practice. His passion for working on data-led business solutions, found a home in a consulting career focused on digital marketing through consumer insight. His experience in successfully leading large digital sales and marketing transformation engagements for key Infosys clients like Apple, Wells Fargo, Safeway and McAfee, has proved extremely useful in the nascent Indian internet industry.
Gourav holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Engineering (double major) from the University of Rochester, and an MBA from the Indian Institute Management, Ahmedabad. He loves to read books on problem solving, philosophy, behavioral economics and corporate biographies and is currently catching up on years of lapsed reading.

Prashant worked his corporate years in Telecom sector with Hutchison & BPL US West in areas of Sales, Marketing, Communications & Distribution before becoming part of his first start-up story at JobsAhead.com. As part of early team at JobsAhead, Prashant spearheaded sales operations in western India and initiated business in Middle East. In 2004 when JobsAhead got acquired by Monster, Prashant played a key role in integrating both the teams and handholding business during transition. He spent a year setting up national footprint for IT People as its Country Head. In 2007, Prashant was back to entrepreneurship forming his early team to kick start plugHR. plugHR was spotted as “Big out of the Box Idea” as early as Dec 2007 by The Economic Times. In 2008, plugHR got nominated for TATA NEN Hottest Startup Award and in 2009, it was awarded “Best Startup award” by Silicon India. In 2010 plugHR made it to being a finalist at Red Herring 100 Asia. Recipient of Indira Super Achiever's award at the age of 27 and Star Entrepreneur Award recently, Prashant studied Physics at Punjab University Chandigarh, Management at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune and Venture Capital Management at ISB Hyderabad. Prashant is actively involved in entrepreneurial ecosystem through his associations with TiE as Charter member, IIT Mumbai where plugHR runs HR departments for all incubated companies and he supports various entrepreneurial programs at business schools in India.
Harsh heads Mentoring, Education and Funding related initiatives at TiE Mumbai. He has around 7 years of experience across Consulting, Technology and Non-Profit Organizations in India and the USA.
At his current role, he works closely with entrepreneurs at different stages(Ideation to Mature Stage), strategize & execute entrepreneurship initiatives, and structure regular programs on diverse aspects & challenges of entrepreneurship. He also supports other organizations and educational institutes in fostering entrepreneurship.
Earlier, he worked with Hongkong and Shanghani Banking Corporation(HSBC) and Deloitte Consulting as a Consultant with Financial Services and Healthcare clients on Information Management projects in India and the USA.
