Why स्वच्छ?

स्वच्छ is a social campaign by The Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Bombay that strives to create a movement that urges the people of Mumbai to keep the streets, local stations, beaches and other public spaces clean.

This campaign also works towards spreading awareness regarding the use of sustainable startups and businesses revolving around hygiene and cleaning technology.

Our Mission

We aim to promote cleaning and hygiene as a sustainable business in India and meet the international standards of cleanliness & hygiene set by the latest trends in global cleaning technology. We realize the need for upgrading our cleaning systems and bringing revolutionary and innovative solutions. Through this campaign we strive to spread awareness regarding the use of sustainable businesses revolving around hygiene and cleaning technology.

Cleanliness Drive

Social responsibility is the cornerstone of any civil society. As Mumbaikars, the onus of making our city the cleanest and safest lies on us. Our collective willingness to participate in such a reform is perhaps best demonstrated by our presence at this beach to commit through action that we will not be just fence sitters or finger pointers. We have a chance, as students, to come together to clean up our crown jewel - the Juhu Beach.

About the event

We, at E-Cell, plan to undertake the cleaning and beautification of Juhu beach, which remains one of the most unsanitary places in Mumbai, through collaboration with other colleges, corporates, professional artists, and NGOs. The task of preserving Mumbai's fragile coastline bio-diversity shouldn't fall upon conservationists alone; it rests with all 20 million inhabitants of this city.
